Boiler Replacement

The existing 99 bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) owned and operated by Plum Health had an assortment of aging infrastructure in need of refurbishment and replacement. The phased renovation project included the removal and replacement of each of the (3) existing boilers and hot water heaters and installation of a new distribution panel fed from the PG&E service along with equipment sub-panels. All work was completed without disruption to patient care while implementing and adhering to the necessary COVID related safety precautions while working in a healthcare delivery setting.

HVAC Replacement
LOCATION: Ukiah, CA
ARCHITECT: Lionakis
Multi-phased replacement of (5) non-compliant existing air handlers at the Ukiah Valley Medical Center. Each phase required installation of a new air handler and associated ductwork and roof supports. Once each new air handler was started, tested and commissioned, the non-compliant existing air handlers were decommissioned and the new air handlers cutover to the new ductwork and existing infrastructure. Re-balancing the existing system to comply with new airflow requirements and the associated upgrades was completed post cutover to achieve enhanced airflows. Work was completed in an occupied hospital facility with no disruption to patient care.
